Healing and Transformation Through the Arts: An Expressive Arts Therapy Group
In It Together
In this 10-week series, we will step through the doorway into the creative process.
As we work in imagery and make art together, we will discover and develop links
to feelings, patterns, beliefs and inner iconography. Within the safety of our group, difficulties can find their way into poetry, music, dramatic enactments, movement, collage, drawing, sandtray and painting. The significance of our challenges will be explored as they are played out through the arts; insight and understanding will grow. Trusting in the creative process, we will strengthen our intuitive pathways and find healing, community and hope. This group will be useful to those making life transitions, changing old habits or coping strategies, and/or desiring a deeper connection to themselves and others.
No art experience necessary; All art supplies provided.
When: Saturdays, 10 a.m.-1p.m. New group starting Summer, 2013

Expressive Arts Consultation Group for Therapists
Projective Identification
This group will offer therapists, interns and trainees the opportunity to
explore client material and countertransferential issues through:
--Guided visualization to establish topics, goals and to gain clarity
--Expressive arts to awaken and apply our creativity including collage, sandtray, drawing, sculpting, enactments, movement and painting. We will incorporate multi-modal techniques.
--Facilitated group discussion in which we share our insights and artwork, exploring our therapeutic relationships and developing
innovative strategies for our work in a safe, non-judgmental, non-shaming and confidential environment.
--Opportunity to experiment with group work and the arts. Those who are interested may elect to facilitate group processes.

Healing Through the Arts: An Expressive Arts Group for Cancer Survivors
Diving In
The diagnosis of cancer can take us on a complex journey that is beyond words. Guided imagery and expressive arts offer a supportive space for exploring emotions, reconnecting to intuition and imagination, and creating symbols and objects that hold personal meaning. Join us for an evening of relaxation, creativity and community during which we will enjoy a variety of expressive arts activities. No art experience necessary.
